Hydraulic cylinders and power units, engineered as one system

HCIC Hydraulics designs and manufactures hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic power units, and the control systems that connect them, for OEMs in mining, construction, agriculture, steel and marine equipment. Because cylinder and power unit come from one supplier, pump flow, valve size and bore are matched against your actual duty cycle instead of being chosen separately by two vendors. Standard ranges follow ISO 6020/2, ISO 6022 and ISO 4413; non-standard cylinders are quoted from your drawing.

Four hydraulic container lift jacks raising a loaded shipping container, each with its own control panel

Four lift jacks raising a loaded container — a job where the cylinder, the power unit and the circuit have to be sized together, because each leg carries the same load and none of them can be allowed to drift.

Why buying them separately costs you

Two suppliers means two sets of assumptions. Most of the hydraulic problems we are asked to fix were not component failures — they were sizing mismatches nobody owned.

Flow and bore matched

Pump flow determines cylinder speed; bore determines force. When the two are quoted separately, the result is usually a cylinder that is too fast, too slow, or running hotter than intended.

One place to trace a fault

If the system drifts, creeps or overheats, there is one supplier to call and one test record to read — not two parties pointing at each other.

Mounting envelope solved once

Pin centres, port positions, rod end threads and reservoir footprint all constrain each other. Solving them on one drawing avoids the adapter plate that appears later.

Spares from one source

Seal kits, rod ends and valve cartridges stay on one part list, which matters most in year three, not year one.

What you can check before you place an order

Every claim on this site is meant to be verifiable. These are the four things we expect a technical buyer to ask for — and we expect to be able to send them the same week.

Real drawings

Dimensioned drawings with mounting, port and rod end details — not a generic catalogue outline.

Test record

Pressure test at 1.5 × rated working pressure, with the record shipped alongside the unit.

Standards cited

ISO 6020/2, ISO 6022, ISO 4413 — quoted by clause, so you can check interchangeability yourself.

Lead time stated

A lead time range per configuration, given in the quote rather than after the order.

Start from the machine, not the catalogue

The same cylinder behaves differently on a haul truck, a refuse body and a grain trailer. These pages work from the load case and the environment first, then narrow to a model range.

Send a drawing, or send a duty cycle

Either one is enough to start. If you have the bore, stroke and pressure, we can quote from that. If you only have the machine and the load, we will size it with you.
